Rainbow Your Kitchen with Science!

Last year as part of a cookie swap, I got a gift from OXO in the form of this set of liquid measuring cups that look like beakers you could find a science lab. They stack up very nearly as you can see in this photo; I'll lay them out below as well for you to see. You can find your set of OXO Good Grips 7-Piece Nesting Measuring Beaker Set, Multicolored on Amazon and help support The Chocolate Cult when you do so! These were easy to unwrap and they store very easily in my cabinets. I've probably used these an average of three times every week for eight months so this article will reflect frequent and multiple uses not merely a couple of recipes worth of use. I received this in exchange for my participation the cookie swap; no other form of compensation was received from OXO and they had no idea I'd be making this one of our Winter Holidays posts this year.

The beakers are hard plastic that is easy to clean. They stack inside of each other and the rubber bottoms means I have never had one slip around on the countertop no matter how messy or wet I might get things from cooking and baking.  Below you can see how they lay out in a 'rainbow" pattern, too, which makes this a colorful gift that might also make a social or political statement. Yes, I know this isn't scientifically a rainbow, the blues aren't quite right.

Red = 1 cup, 8 oz, 250 ml.
Orange = 3/4 cup, 6 oz, 175 ml
Yellow = 1/2 cup, 4 oz, 125 ml
Green = 2 oz, 4 Tbsp, 60 ml
Aqua = 1 oz, 2 Tbsp, 30 ml
Blue = 1 Tbsp, 3 tsp, 15 ml
Purple = 1 tsp w/ quarter marks, 5 ml

Again if you'd like to buy a set of these delightful beakers and help support The Chocolate Cult, you can follow the link below and buy your own. They also make great gifts!

These are really cool!
I agree plus much easier to use with liquids than the traditional spoons.

Cute! Can they go in the dishwasher? I wouldn't want to spoil those pretty colors!
Yes, I put mine in the dishwasher all of the time just the small ones I put in one of the silverware holders so they don't toss about with the water. I should have mentioned that in my review!
